In a heartwarming initiative, the Evergreen State Fair is reviving its annual food drive to foster community engagement and support local families in need. From now until July 10, individuals can contribute by donating five or more non-perishable food items at various drop-off locations across the region. In return, they will receive a complimentary weekday ticket to the 2025 Fair, subject to availability. The event aims to surpass last year's impressive total of nearly 17,000 pounds of food collected for the Snohomish County Food Bank Coalition.

A Call to Action: Supporting Those in Need Through Generosity

In a vibrant display of regional solidarity, residents are invited to participate in this meaningful campaign during the summer months. Donations can be dropped off at any of the ten Lee Johnson Auto Family dealerships scattered throughout Washington State. Alternatively, attendees may visit the special drive-thru donation event held on Saturday, July 12, in the west parking lot of the fairgrounds from noon to 5 p.m.

Each contributor who donates five unexpired, non-perishable food items will earn one free weekday admission ticket to the upcoming Evergreen State Fair, scheduled for August 21 through September 1. A maximum of five tickets per vehicle will be distributed, following a first-come, first-served basis. Items such as baby wipes, canned goods, toiletries, peanut butter, and shelf-stable milk are highly encouraged donations.

This charitable endeavor underscores the values of tradition, unity, and compassion that define the Evergreen State Fair. Last year’s success has inspired organizers to set an even loftier goal for this edition, hoping to exceed previous records and provide essential sustenance to countless households within Snohomish County.

Beyond its role as a source of entertainment, the fair serves as a platform to strengthen community bonds. This initiative exemplifies how collective action can address pressing needs while creating opportunities for connection and generosity. By contributing to the food drive, participants not only secure their spot at the fair but also play a pivotal part in uplifting those facing hardship. Such acts remind us that small gestures can lead to significant positive impacts, fostering a spirit of cooperation and care that resonates far beyond the fairgrounds.
