Ford's National Dealer Network Teams Up with Major Nonprofits to Drive Community Impact

Automaker Ford has launched an ambitious initiative aimed at strengthening its ties with major nonprofit organizations through its extensive dealership network. The "Building Together" program, spearheaded by Ford Philanthropy, integrates various company resources, including vehicles, employee volunteerism, and dealer participation, to bolster the efforts of key charitable groups such as the American Red Cross, Feeding America, Habitat for Humanity, and Team Rubicon. Through this effort, dealerships are organizing blood drives, food collections, donation drives for tools and materials, and disaster preparedness workshops in communities nationwide.

In addition to grassroots activities, Ford is making a substantial financial commitment to these organizations. The company has pledged $7 million to support the missions of the four nonprofits, addressing challenges posed by declining donations amid economic uncertainty. Mary Culler, president of Ford Philanthropy, highlighted that activations are already underway across the country, citing examples from Michigan, Texas, Minnesota, and Colorado. These initiatives not only provide immediate relief but also aim to build long-term resilience within communities facing crises. By expanding its Volunteer Paid Time Off policy and enhancing access to loaner vehicles for emergency response, Ford demonstrates its dedication to fostering meaningful partnerships.

This collaboration marks a shift in Ford’s philanthropic approach, moving beyond traditional monetary contributions to leveraging its vast organizational capabilities.
