A culinary gem in Boulder has achieved a significant milestone in the world of gastronomy. Frasca Food and Wine, already celebrated with a Michelin Star and two James Beard Awards, added another prestigious accolade to its collection by receiving the James Beard Outstanding Restaurant Award. This esteemed recognition highlights the establishment's commitment to excellence, placing it among the top dining destinations in the nation.

Among fierce competition from other exceptional eateries across the United States, Frasca stood out as one of only five finalists. The others included establishments such as Coquine from Portland, Galit from Chicago, Nonesuch from Oklahoma City, and Oberlin from Providence. During his heartfelt acceptance speech, Bobby Stuckey, a partner and master sommelier at Frasca, expressed gratitude for the hospitality industry's inclusivity. He emphasized how it provides opportunities for individuals regardless of their background, highlighting the welcoming nature of this field.

The award presentation took place during an elegant ceremony held at Chicago’s Lyric Opera House. Known for its signature dish, Frico Caldo—a delightful combination of cheese, potatoes, onions, and spices—Frasca continues to captivate food enthusiasts on Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall. This achievement not only celebrates the restaurant's success but also reflects positively on Colorado's vibrant food scene, inspiring aspiring chefs and restaurateurs nationwide to embrace creativity and inclusiveness in their own ventures.
