Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, despite its initial hurdles, continues to receive dedicated support from developer KT Racing. The upcoming Season 4 update promises a significant refresh, reintroducing the beloved casino element and enriching the in-game garage with a selection of new and exciting automobiles. Players can anticipate a more dynamic experience with these additions, alongside various gameplay refinements designed to improve overall performance and accessibility.

Scheduled for release in the latter half of this month, the Season 4 update brings back the casino, a feature last seen in the 2011 installment of the series, TDU2, as paid DLC. This reintroduction is expected to offer a new avenue for in-game activities and rewards. Complementing this, five distinctive vehicles are being integrated into the game. Headlining these is the Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, a powerful machine featuring a 720bhp twin-turbo V8 engine and a prominent rear wing, which players can initially acquire through the casino's slot machines. This particular model represents the most aggressive iteration of the previous-generation AMG GT.

Furthermore, the update will make the Aston Martin DB11 Volante immediately available in dealerships for all players upon launch. This convertible, previously hinted at, houses a 503bhp version of the same V8 engine found in the Mercedes, offering a refined yet potent driving experience. The remaining three vehicles are tied to the revamped Solar Pass rewards system, which now offers both free and paid tiers. Those opting for the paid Solar Pass will gain access to the Porsche 911 Carrera VR Widebody at Level 1. While not entirely new, this classic air-cooled 911 comes with a distinctive, RWB-inspired body kit, offering a fresh take on a familiar car.

As players progress through the Solar Pass, a curious and noteworthy addition awaits at Level 15: the DeLorean Alpha5. This electric grand tourer, unveiled in 2022 by the company holding the rights to the original DeLorean name, is believed to be making its debut in the gaming world. Finally, reaching Level 50 of either the free or paid Solar Pass will unlock the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato. This unexpected off-road variant of Lamborghini's V10 supercar has garnered significant attention and is considered by many to be an exceptional model within the Huracan lineage.

Beyond the new vehicles, KT Racing is also adjusting other car-related game mechanics. Previously, certain high-tier vehicles like the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ and the Aston Martin Valour were only obtainable as ranked rewards, requiring extensive gameplay. With Season 4, these desirable cars will be added to the dealership, making them accessible to any player with sufficient in-game currency. Future minor enhancements, including new aftermarket wheels, improved car models, and general performance optimizations, are also on the horizon, with more details expected to emerge throughout July leading up to the update's release.
